Tails of Success

Here at the Humane Society of North Iowa, we see hundreds of animals come and go through our doors each year.    We work hard to find these animals loving homes; just last year, we helped over 350 of our furry friends find forever homes!    We are always thrilled when one of our animals finds a new home, but we will always remember them and their days at our shelter.   That is why we love to hear updates about our friends that were adopted at the Humane Society of North Iowa!

Did you adopt an animal from us? Would you like to share an update?    If so, please send a photo and update to: hsni@netconx.net   We will include your pet’s photo and update on this page so others can read about your personal “Tail of Success”!

Name: Tarzan

Adopted: Adopted January 2008

Short "Tail":

Tarzan is at least double the size he was when we got him; and he is a lot more hyper now. When we picked him out we got him because he seemed to be the cool calm one, but once he came home with us he became as crazy as ever.

He now is a well mannered little boy. He knows sit, shake, and stay, play dead, roll over, and can even catch a treat off his nose! He has almost doubled in size since I brought him home.

Name: Roxy

Adopted: Adopted May 2005

Short "Tail":

We adopted Roxy in May of 2005, and she has worked her way into everyone’s heart. She has a pretty “rough” life with our family, as you can tell in the photo. I have given many references for HSNI for people that are thinking of adopting a furry friend. Thanks for all you do to help the animals that just want to be loved.
