Merry Christmas HSNI!TAILS OF SUCCESS: Here's an update from Luna and Butch...
We are now on year 8 with Ms. Luna Belle (10yr old brindle boxer) and year 2 (5yr old chocolate lab) with Mr. Butch Chewbacca! We adopted both of these dogs from HSNI at different stages of our lives. Luna and Butch are incredible with our kids and are such important parts of our family. We could not imagine our lives without them. Luna came to us well mannered and Butch came to us from a traumatic background. Luna has maintained her Queenly etiquette while Butchy has overcome so many obstacles and has settled into a healthy life and training. We are so proud of him and his success! Thanks for trusting us with these sweet dogs and we hope your holidays bring love and joy to households all over North Iowa. The dogs are always worth the work! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Yikes! The weather out there is not nice! White out blizzard conditions❄️❄️, double digit below zero wind chill 🌬🌬and nasty roads! No one should be out in this weather! 🥶🥶🥶🥶Weather like this is always worrisome for us because making sure the animals are cared for is a top priority...but the majority of our kennel staff lives out of town and we want everyone to be safe.
Thankfully, one of our long time animal caretakers, Tim (who also lives out of town) is so dedicated to the animals that he's having a slumber party at the shelter tonight to ensure that, no matter what, everyone is well fed, tucked in snugly and cared for. ❤️❤️ Thanks Tim!! We appreciate you!!
