Shelter Animal Caretaker Michael Kastrup took this sweet video of himself checking in and saying nightie night to all the shelter dogs before leaving today. ❤️❤️❤️I always think it says a lot about the caretaker when the room is so quiet you can hear the calming background music. You can see that every dog in the room is looking up at Michael with love in their eyes as he walks by their kennel.
The kennel areas in a shelter can be a stressful place for dogs. There are a lot of emotions, hormones, and unfamiliar smells, spaces and faces. So when it's this quiet, and the dogs are all content and peaceful in their clean kennels it makes me feel very proud to have such a caring and thoughtful staff that provides such a loving space to these beautiful displaced souls. ❤️❤️❤️
Our shelter is meant to be a temporary stop on an animal's adoption journey. Thank you to Michael and the rest of our kennel staff for doing such an amazing job to ensure their stay with us is the best we are able to provide. ❤️❤️
