Full Description:  Sadly I was not reclaimed from the shelter by my family. I can be protective of my family and I am very loyal. Once I know you, I am affectionate and let my silly side out. Typical of Akitas, I can be a little stubborn. I’m just a strong, independent woman! I require a home with no other animals, and hope to find a family with knowledge/experience of my breed. Adoption fee covers the following veterinarian services: spay/neuter surgery, age appropriate vaccinations, flea and dewormer treatment, feline leukemia/FIV test in cats, heartworm test for dogs.

 Animals listed with the Mason City Stray Animal Shelter will be held for 7 days from the “Entry Date” to give the opportunity for an owner to reclaim them.  If not reclaimed, the animal will be made available for adoption to the public.
