Meet Jax and Shay, two loving Lab Mixes who have stolen our hearts after arriving at our shelter as strays. Jax is a gentle older gentleman, with a wealth of experience and wisdom to share with his new family. He's looking for a quiet and comfortable home where he can relax and enjoy his golden years. On the other hand, Shay is a youthful bundle of energy, always ready to play and have fun! She's seeking an active family who can keep up with her adventurous spirit. Both Jax and Shay are deserving of a second chance at a happy life, and we can't wait to see them thrive in their forever homes.
We have SO many litters of kittens that come into the shelter over the summer that we have to get "creative" with their names so we can refer to them quickly, which is why these cuties are all named after egg styles! Omelet, Over Easy and Scramble are super cute, available for adoption and are sure to make your whole day brighter!Give us a call or visit to find out more! www.hsni.org641-423-6241

Look who we got a visit from over the weekend? WINNIE AND ANGUS!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤If you recall, Winnie waited in our shelter for more than 3 years to find her forever home. She was shy and needed someone to invest some time with her in order for her to come out of her shell. That someone ended up being Peyton, a young man from over an hour away who came EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND for months to see Winnie! She absolutely grew to love and trust him and he adopted her. A few months later, his parents were also looking to adopt a dog, so Peyton brought them to the Humane Society of North where they met and fell in love with Angus! The great thing is that Winnie and Angus were pals in the shelter and now, they were adopted by Peyton and his parents who live just blocks away from another, so Winnie and Angus get to hang out all the time! <3 Saturday was the anniversary of when Peyton adopted Winnie. To celebrate, he and his mom came over with 2 cartloads of supplies for the shelter! WOW!!!! All great stuff that we are very much in need of!It was also beyond wonderful to see Winnie and Angus thriving and living their BEST lives in their new homes. :)We will always be so grateful to Peyton, who took the time Winnie needed to let her guard down and trust someone new. And to his parents who giving such an amazing home to Angus!! We love happy endings!!!Petfinder.com
