Kovu is a handsome older Husky with a gentle soul and so much love to give. He came to us as a stray and, although he was microchipped, his previous owner chose not to take him back—something that truly breaks our hearts, because Kovu is such a good, deserving boy.

He has a sweet and loving nature and enjoys being around people, often “talking” in that classic Husky way to share his thoughts. Kovu can be a bit head shy, so he appreciates a calm, patient approach and someone who will respect his space while he builds trust.

Because of this sensitivity, Kovu would do best in a home without young children. With the right person, he will blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion. If you’re looking for a kind-hearted dog who just needs a second chance, Kovu is ready to find his forever home.

Adoption fee covers the following veterinarian services: spay/neuter surgery, age appropriate vaccinations, flea and dewormer treatment, feline leukemia/FIV test in cats, heartworm test for dogs.

Animals listed with the Mason City Stray Animal Shelter will be held for 7 days from the “Entry Date” to give the opportunity for an owner to reclaim them.  If not reclaimed, the animal will be made available for adoption to the public.
